If you have just brought or planning to buy windows Vista or have been using windows Vista and you don’t know any idea and facilities of it then don’t worry! watch following tips and tricks of windows Vista.
1) Change the Internet Explorer title.
* Go to start and click run then type “Regedit” without any quotes.
* Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMainWindow title
* Enter what you want to appear in the tile bar.
* For example: Star Nepal.
2) Disable User Account Control.
* Click start and go to run and type ‘control’. After that, you will be able to see the control panel window.
* Click on User Account.
* Click again on user account.
* Then, click on “Turn User Account Control on or off“.
* Press Continue.
* Uncheck the box of UAC (user account control on or off) and press OK.
* Reboot your system.
* Return to the Control Panel and click ‘Security’.
* Then, click on security center and click on “change the way security center alerts me“.
* Finally, click “Don’t notify me and don’t display the icon (not recommended)“.
3) Hide Hard Drive in Windows Vista.
* Click Start button and go to Run and type “regedit” without any quotes and press OK.
* After that Registry editor window will open and then go to following keys HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrent VersionPoliciesExplorer.
* Then right click on the right pane and select New>Dword Value (32 bit) and call it “NoDrives”.
* Now, double click on NoDrives and type decimal value. For example, if you want to hide D: then type 8 and if you want to hide both D and E drive then, type 8+16=24 and press OK.
* Restart your computer once and you will find selected drive should be hidden.
Note: Here each drive has different value. A=1, B=2, C=4, D=8 and value of E is double of 8=16, F is double of 16=32 and so on. If you want to remove the hidden drives, browse to the no drives registry value and delete it.
