- At first go to ‘Start’ button and press OK then, go to Run and type ‘Regedit’ without any quotes and hit enter.
- It’ll open registry editor dialog box where you will see many options and after then, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER and double click on SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrent versionsPoliciesExplorerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrent versionsPoliciesExplorer
- Now, check whether a DWORD value named no folder options exist or not in the right pane of the page, if it is exist, delete it and if it is not exists leave it and after this all process you will find your problem solved.
Warning: Wrong Registry Editor may damage your system.
2. Some times people find that the “show hidden files and folder” option is disabled so, they can’t see the hidden files and folder. You can also solve your problem through the help of registry editor. Follow the keys.
- At first go to start button and click Run and there type ‘Regedit’ without any quotes same as above.
- After that, go to following keys respectively.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoft|WindowsCurrent versionsExplorerAdvanced
- And after that go to right side pane of the current page and change the value of Hidden into 1 and refresh my computer window and after all these process you will be able to see the “show the hidden files and folders” option or you will be able to see the hidden files.
