Who don’t want to work their machine hardware faster and properly? Off course everyone wants their hardware or let’s say system to work smoothly. Basically hardware has a great role to keep a computer healthy. We can also say that hardware are the brain and bones of the computer. Hardware denotes all the physical parts of a computer that can be seen, felt and touch. If the hardware of the Computer is in good condition than their is no doubt for the good result with the computer. Here, I have kept some hardware tips because more than 80% of the computer problems are related to cabling and connections. If there is small mistake on connections and cabling PC couldn’t work properly and shows many problems.
Troubleshooting Tips for Hardware
1. System can be booted from floppy disk, but doesn’t boot from hard drive.
Probable causes:
a) Hard drive and system board connector unplugged.
b) Damage hard disk.
Solutions for the probable cause of hardware:
a) Check cable running form disk to disk controller on the board. Make sure both are securely plugged in.
b) Contact technical support.
2. Screen is blank.
Probable causes:
a) No power on monitor
b) No connection between monitor and computer
Solutions:
a) Check the power connections to the monitor and to systems and check monitor is connected to display card.
b) Follow the above instructions.
3. Screen goes blank periodically.
Probable causes:
a) Screen saver may be enabled.
Solutions:
a) Disable/close the screen saver.
4. Keyboard is failure
Probable causes:
a) Wire of Keyboard is disconnected.
b) Keyboard is damaged.
Solutions:
a) Check the connection of the keyboard and reconnect.
b) Replace keyboard
5. Computer hangs or restarts during installation.
Solutions:
a) Previously installed hardware and software need to be removed.
b) Check the audio card and its slot, if it doesn’t seat properly, correct it.
c) Temporarily remove non-essential PCI bus mastering devices.
d) A hardware conflict with another device in a system.
6. Error reading drive A.
Probable causes:
a) Floppy disk not formatted
b) Error/bad floppy disk
Solutions:
a) Format floppy disk
b) Replace floppy disk
